Chinese Food Oxford NC, Curry in bowl with chopsticks

Egg rolls, noodles, General Tso’s chicken: those are just a few dishes we all love when we get a hankering for Chinese. The best Chinese food in Oxford, NC can be found at one of these places on our list of local favorites.

Hong Kong Restaurant

This place is at 134 Roxboro Rd, where the Food Lion is. They open for lunch at 11 am and close at 10 pm. You can dine in, but they also have a very popular take-out service. They also offer delivery, though not everything they offer you in-house or for take-out is available on that menu. This is a really clean place with fast service, great flavor, and good prices. Very quick, and very yummy.

Their most popular items include the roast pork egg roll and, naturally, the General Tso’s chicken, but we also love the sesame chicken and their honey mustard chicken wings. If you’ve never had a “Chinese doughnut,” try that offering on their appetizer list. It’s different from an American donut but just as delicious. Their beef chow mein is also a stand out.

Top China Restaurant

Head over to 101 Hilltop Village to visit Top China, which opens from 11 am until 10 pm. The restaurant is very clean, the food tastes great, and the prices are really excellent. They go out of their way to offer you great service, too. This is a great place to take the family when you don’t feel like cooking, and if you call ahead everything will be ready for you to grab when you get there.

The lo mein is really good here, and their chicken wings are also especially excellent. Their egg rolls are worth ordering for sure, and we also love their sweet and sour chicken. The Szechuan chicken definitely isn’t very spicy, though, so be sure to ask them to pump up the volume if you like your food really spicy.

China Wok

China Wok is at 308 Granville Corners, and they open from 11 am until 9 pm (10 on the weekends) every day but Tuesday, when they are closed. The food here is really, really good, and the service is fast. The only thing to note is that they will charge you for every single extra item you want, like extra oil, a takeaway box, etc. If you know that going in, you’ll be fine.

But the food is great, and that’s what we’re all here for, right? Try their eggs rolls, their pork fried rice, and the shrimp egg roll, if you want our advice. Their soup is also very good. Service is fast, so if you need to grab dinner quickly and get out of there, you can.

These are just a few of our favorite places for Chinese food that are right here in Oxford. If you have a craving, give one of them a try. And when you’re done, come see us at Boyd Honda of Oxford!
