Watch a Live Theatre Performance

The Granville Little Theatre, Inc. at 300 Williamsboro Street in Oxford has been staging performances for over 80 years. Today, all the shows are still put together by members of the community who are committed to providing top-quality theatre performances.

Visit the Town’s Museums

Take the kids to learn more about the region’s history and culture at the five museums in the city. Visit the Granville County History Museum in the old county jail at 110 Court Street for an educational and interactive glimpse into the region’s agricultural past and the Harris Exhibit Hall at the County Museum at 1 Museums Lane to see an array of ever-changing science and historical exhibits.

The George C. Shaw Museum at 202 East McClanahan Street honors Dr. Shaw’s accomplishments as the founder of the Mary Potter Academy, one of the first boarding schools for African American children. The Oak Hill Heritage House Research Library and Museum at 7686 Goshen Road display the history of Oak Hill, and the Sallie Mae Ligon Museum and Archive at 600 College Street preserve the history of the state’s oldest home for children.
